La Cala de Mijas has become a sought-after area for holiday makers as you can make plans for everybody’s taste. For those seeking active leisure time there is a variety of activities on offer ranging from water sports, safaris, horse riding and of course golf which you can play on the course that is located within walking distance. Casa BonitaMar is located on a small hill that overlooking the La Cala heart which not only gives you the breath-taking views but also the convenience of being close to all amenities. There is no need for a car as you are within walking distance of 1,200m to the beach and 1,700m of La Cala´s centre, and in case you prefer a lift uphill there is always a possibility to catch a taxi or Uber.
Close to the apartment withing 700m you can find the Lidl supermarket. But as well in the heart of La Cala you can find other supermarkets like: Carrefour that has a very international selection of products, Mercadona, Aldi and many other shops down in the city centre.
La Cala has some of the nicest sandy beaches at the Costa del Sol. The apartment is located within 1.200m from the beach that you can easily access by overpassing the highway bridge. Through the extensive boardwalk you can pick which of the different beaches is your favorite one.
La Cala has a wide selection of restaurants that will fit any taste and budget. You can find fine dining options or casual tapas corners. Also specialities like indian, mexican, chines, italian and many other restaurants. Some of our favorites are:

Depending on what level you have or what kind of adventurous course you are looking for there is one for each taste.
In La Cala de Mijas you can find several gyms, bootcamps, crossfit temples but as well book activities and tours such as safaris, water sports or even small boat excursions. Ask our property manager and we will privde you the right information.
It has become over the decades a tradition to stroll over the market that takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 – 14:00. Here you have local merchants that sell handcrafted and artician products as well as ecological stands with their own cultivated fruits, vegetables, flowers and many other shopping possibilities such as clothes, shoes and home articles. Don´t miss this as here you can get some souvenirs as well to bring back home.
